The Green Shopping Guide is a free, impartial guide to green and ethical product and service providers.
Working closely with it's users, it is designed to help make finding green and ethical products and
services easier with the least amount of hassle. Constantly updated with new businesses,
organisations and charities it is a simple but effective directory.
Our aim is to build a vast free information resource section over the coming months, the directory will
work alongside the guide and will be there to help people to live a more sustainable life.
The Green Shopping Guide was established in 2006 and is now owned and maintained by Stewart
and Wendy Guest who run the guide as a NOT FOR PROFIT COMPANY based at The Green Shopping
Guide HQ in Altrincham, Cheshire.
Our Ethical Policy:
The Green Shopping Guide is committed to providing services both to the business and public sector
in an honest and open way.
The Green Shopping Guide is a NOT FOR PROFIT business.
We operate a strict policy, working closely with other businesses who share the same values.
The Green Shopping Guide actively helps other people to live a more sustainable and ethical lifestyle
and over the coming years we intend to build on this.
We do not (where possible) work with businesses who operate in an unsustainable and unethical way.
We are however, dedicated to helping businesses who wish to make changes in a positive way,
offering support and advice and helping to promote the work they are doing.
Listing/Advertising Ethos:
*Make a positive difference to the environment and society.
*Do not test their products on animals.
*Try and ensure the majority of their energy needs are met by renewable energy.
*Increase public awareness of alternative products and services that do not have a negative impact on
the environment or humanity.
*Offer their products and services at fair, affordable prices.
*Where possible, do not use harmful chemicals in their products or in the provision of their services.
*Provide products and services that are environmentally friendly and ethically sound.
